What behavior should you adopt to avoid incurring in any infraction foreseen by the aforementioned code?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What-does-the-highway-code-provide\"><\/span>What does the highway code provide?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The highway code introduces, on art. 189, paragraph 1 d, the presumption that the occurrence of an accident determines a dangerous situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The user of the street, in the event of an accident attributable to her behavior, has the obligation to stop, as well as the obligation to come to give the aid of anyone who has suffered damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Person-involved-in-the-traffic-accident-what-should-he-do\"><\/span>Person involved in the traffic accident: what should he do?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People involved in an accident must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em>take all appropriate measures to ensure safety;<\/em><\/li><li><em>consistent with this requirement, ensure that the state of the sites is not altered and that useful traces are scattered to determine responsibility for the accident;<\/em><\/li><li><em>You must provide your personal details, your insurance details and any useful information to the injured so that they can obtain compensation for the damage.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"In-the-event-of-an-accident-involving-only-things\"><\/span>In the event of an accident involving only things<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of an accident with only material damage (therefore no injuries), the road user must stop. Those who do not stop may suffer an <strong>administrative penalty ranging from \u20ac 302 to \u20ac 1,208<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of a serious accident, the <strong>driving license<\/strong> can also be <strong>suspended from 15 days to two months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"In-the-event-of-an-accident-with-bodily-injury\"><\/span>In the event of an accident with bodily injury<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of an accident with bodily injury, on the other hand, those who do not stop risk a <strong>prison sentence from six months to three years and suspension of the driving license from one to three years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be careful because in these cases the law also provides for a <strong>possible arrest<\/strong>. The regulatory reference is indicated in paragraph 6 of art. 189 Highway Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Article-189-paragraph-7-of-the-Highway-Code\"><\/span>Article 189 paragraph 7 of the Highway Code<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Article 189, paragraph 6, imposes the obligation to stop the vehicle, Article 189, paragraph 7, establishes the obligation to come to the aid of all injured persons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whoever fails to comply with this provision incurs a <strong>prison sentence from one to three year<\/strong>s as well as the accessory administrative sanction of <strong>suspension of the driving license for a minimum period of one year and six months and no more than 5 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the driver stops, provides assistance and immediately makes himself available to the authorities (even within 24 hours after the traffic accident), he is not subject to arrest.
